Design Engineer
An established engineering company is seeking a Design Engineer to join its design department, working on bespoke engineering products.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in supporting both the design and sales teams — producing customer layouts, liaising with clients, and helping turn technical concepts into practical engineering solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD skills who enjoys a mix of technical design and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop bespoke engineering products
* Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
* Collaborate with the sales team to create customer layouts and proposals
* Act as a link between design, sales, and clients to ensure accurate project delivery
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
Requirements
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Inventor
* Experience with stainless steel fabrication (advantageous)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach
