The Role:
The experienced marketing lead will be at the forefront of the company’s public affairs and campaign strategies, engaging closely with government entities and industry bodies to create and implement initiatives that increase awareness.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Public Relations and Thought Leadership: Develop compelling content and execute PR strategies in the public sector.
* Public Affairs Engagement: Lead campaigns and collaborate with teams to maximize lobbying efforts.
* Campaign Strategy: Design targeted communication strategies for government engagement.
* Policy Support and Advocacy: Monitor legislative developments and support policy submissions.
* Media and Government: Manage press inquiries and secure positive media coverage.
* Copywriting: Produce high-quality content for blogs, newsletters, speeches, and reports, maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in public affairs, with proven ability to lead marketing efforts in the public sector, ideally within telecoms, infrastructure, or regulated industries (client-side experience preferred).
* Stakeholder Management: Experience managing senior relationships with government, industry stakeholders, and media.
* Strategic Vision: Critical and creative thinking for high-level initiatives and detailed campaigns.
* Project Management: Organizational skills to handle complex projects and campaigns simultaneously.
* Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
