Position Summary
Responsible for planning and executing Rosyth's daily shipment operations, ensuring regulatory compliance for imports & exports while supporting cross-functional teams with documentation and logistics queries.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Daily shipment planning and execution.
2. Ensuring all shipping records and documentation are kept for future HMRC audits.
3. Providing loadout assistance to Project Mangers to ensure accurate and timely project dispatch.
4. Manage customs clearances for imports and exports, liaising with approved brokers, suppliers and clients.
5. Create, review and issue all Rosyth shipping documentation such as commercial invoices and packing lists.
6. Review shipping documentation such as Airway Bills, Bill's of Lading and CMR's to ensure accuracy.
7. Respond to logistics and minor trade compliance queries from internal teams and external partners.
8. Prepare and compare quotes for logistics movements, coordinating with carriers and freight forwarders.
9. Raise and manage logistics purchase orders under $10K spend.
10. Arrange for hazardous goods to receive correct packing and labelling.
11. Ensure accuracy of HTS (harmonized tariff schedule) classifications and maintain classification records.
Qualifications
DESIRED
12. Chartered Institute Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or studying towards CIPS qualification.
13. Professional certifications (e.g., Shipping Dangerous Goods, Customs or Trade Compliance) are advantageous

14. Practical experience in export/import operations and customs procedures.
15. Knowledge of HTS classification system and hazardous shipping regulations.
16. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
17. Experience preparing logistics quotes and managing freight purchase orders.
18. Ability to communicate clearly especially with customs brokers and carriers
19. Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight timelines.

23. Competent in ERP System.
