Anexciting opportunity has arisen for an adult registered nurse with full NMCregistration, to join our team. This is a 33 hour fixed term position for 11 months andis also open for secondment opportunity.
As aregistered nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager andcolleagues in ensuring that service users needs are met through the deliveryof safe, effective high-quality care. We are looking to welcome a professionaland enthusiastic band 5 staff nurse to join our team.
We areseeking a nurse who is confident and self-motivated with the ability to work ina fast-paced environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successfulcandidate must demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude and have a desireto provide high quality and efficient care to women within the Gynaecologydepartment.
Weoffer support and development to all of our nurses, including a period ofsupernumerary on commencement of employment, department specific training andappraisals.
TheGynaecology Outpatient Department runs a variety of clinics for new and followup patients in varying specialities including general Gynaecology, Colposcopy,Hysteroscopy, nurse-led and Urogynaecology. We also carry out minor proceduresand treatments daily within the departments. The department runs Monday toFriday, excluding bank holidays, with some options for adhoc additional work onevenings and weekends as per service need.

Youwill be expected to adhere to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and befamiliar with and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures laid down by theTrust reporting untoward incidents and completing appropriate documentation.
Youwill provide care to a variety of patients attending specialist clinicsincluding;
Colposcopy
Hysteroscopy
GeneralGynaecology
Fasttrack
NurseLed
Vulval
Thisincludes chaperoning and assisting in procedures.
Youwill also be expected to coordinate the corridor, ensuring streamline patientnavigation and supporting the nursing teams working in the various clinics tosafely and effectively care for patients.
Excellentcommunication skills are essential, with the ability to work as part of amulti-disciplinary team, in sensitive and challenging situations.
Youwill carry out duties according to both local and national policies, proceduresand guidelines, contributing to quality improvement, and promoting bestevidence-based practice.
