About the Role:

Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, the Associate Retail Coordinator is responsible for maintaining high levels of service to the company’s retail customers. You will oversee the execution of customer orders from receipt through delivery, including reviewing and processing orders, monitoring inventory availability, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of products, and providing exemplary customer communications and service. This role serves as the critical liaison between our retail customers and our internal operations teams to facilitate efficient order processing, optimal procurement, raw material supply planning and inventory management strategies, streamlined fulfillment and logistics, as well as timely and effective issue resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management

•Receive, review, and enter orders from customers into the system.

•Confirm orders and communicate any changes or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.

•Maintain accurate records of customer requirements and delivery timelines.

Supply / Inventory Planning:

•Consolidate customer orders and communicate needs to the supply planning team to schedule raw material procurement.

•Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs in collaboration with the supply planner.

•Monitor shelf-life of all finished products.

•Track the status of finished products from order to delivery, ensuring timely availability.

Logistics & Tracking:

•Track and manage the movement of finished products to distribution facilities.

•Coordinate with processing facilities and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

•Monitor and report on truck status and resolve any transportation delays or issues.

Customer Communication & Support:

•Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order changes, delivery updates, and issue resolution.

•Provide timely updates on order status and expected delivery schedules.

•Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.

Cost Tracking & Financial Maintenance:

•Track internal raw material and production costs to ensure accurate costs of finished products.

•Monitor customer margin performance and support efforts to protect and improve profitability while maintaining highest quality.

•Track profitability targets through cost and margin analysis of raw materials through finished goods and yields.

Promotional Planning:

•Collaborate with VP of New Markets, Sales, Marketing and Customers to plan and support promotional meat campaigns.

•Align supply availability and procurement timing with promotional timelines and volume spikes.

Reporting & Analysis:

•Generate reports on order trends, inventory availability, and delivery performance.

•Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement within procurement and fulfillment processes.

Requirements:

•5+ years of experience in operations planning, procurement, inventory management and/or logistics, preferably in perishable, fresh food or meat industry and within a retail environment.

•Strong understanding of customer order management, inventory planning, distribution and logistics within a retail environment.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.

•Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and Supply Chain Planning systems a plus.

$108,000 - $118,000 a year
