FAO of Process Engineers / Chemical EngineersOur client is a leading EPC business based in the Tees Valley who are looking to appoint a Senior Process Engineer on a permanent basis.If you can undertake design of process components and provide company-wide support on all aspects of process engineering within the fields of liquefied gases, then this role could be the perfect career move for you!The role:Ensuring the technical integrity of design of assigned projectsSupervising assigned process engineersProduction and checking of design project deliverables on time and to budgetSelecting and developing process scheme and process operating/control philosophies to provide best available technical/commercial solutionsPreparation of process documents including design basis, process description, design philosophies, alarm and trip schedules and operating/commissioning proceduresPreparation and maintenance of heat and material balances using Hysys softwareSupervising the preparation and maintenance of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, line lists and process data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation using SmartPlant P&ID softwareCarrying out process equipment sizing calculations such as piping/instrument sizes, pump capacity/duty, heat duty, vessel sizing, etc.Reviewing and evaluating documentation supplied by vendorsLeading and coordinating the review of design documentation supplied by other contractors, reporting findings and closing-out issues raisedRepresenting design team/Company in P&ID, HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviewsSupervising commissioning operations for cryogenic storage tank cooldownSupporting the Proposals team in development of bids and in the production of man-hour estimates against known scopes of workProactively carrying out engineering analysis, design, specification and procedural work where a benefit is identifiedFollowing Company working procedures in the development of design documentation and in the use of SmartPlant Engineering EnvironmentCoordinating designers/draughters for development of process drawingsCommunicating issues encountered in design to own and other disciplines to ensure the efficiency of the project teamPursuing ideas for continuous improvement within own discipline, Engineering Department or the CompanyWorking with other disciplines to ensure that the design intent of a project is achievedRequired experience and qualifications:Degree or equivalent in Chemical and/or Process Engineering, as accredited by IChemEWorking experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industriesProcess aspects of various project phases from conceptual study through FEED and EPC to commissioning and operationExperience of working with process design software tools (eg Hysys) and performing and optimising process simulation desigWhat's in it for you?Our client is a reputable leader in their field and can provide a thriving career environment as well as a comprehensive employment benefits package, that includes the following: an healthy salary for this role, enhanced annual leave and enhanced pension, plus much more.For more information on this vacancy or to discuss your wider job search, please call Scott Webb directly on the below contact details.
