An exceptional secondary school in Oxfordshire is looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join their leadership team in September 2025. Responsibilities
* Lead SEND Provision - Oversee the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive tailored support.
* Develop Individual Support Plans - Work closely with staff and external agencies to create and implement effective EHCPs.
* Advise and Train Staff - Support and guide teachers on strategies to accommodate students with SEND in their classrooms.
* Collaborate with Parents and Carers - Build strong relationships with families to support student learning and progress.
* Monitor and Assess Progress - Track the development of students with SEND and adjust interventions accordingly.
Qualifications
* SENCO Qualification (or working towards one) - National Award for SEN Coordination preferred.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND provision.
* Passionate About Inclusion - A commitment to ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
* Strong Leadership Skills - Experience in leading a team and implementing strategic SEND initiatives.
* Excellent Communication - The ability to liaise effectively with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to apply).
