We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management, accounting software, and regulatory compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic financial management and ensure the organisations fiscal health. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards.

Responsibilities
* Undertake all bookkeeping to reconciled trial balance level
* Process the sales and purchase ledgers, with associated credit control
* Process Payroll including HMRC filings management
* Liaison with the auto enrolment provider and management of all monthly documentation
* Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return
* Preparation and submission monthly CIS Returns
* Timely processing of applications and invoices and domestic reverse charge
* Provide monthly management accounts to the Directors to include a pack of KPIs
* Take on ad hoc financial tasks as required such as provide information to funders and bankers as needed.
* Liaise with accountants to provide a reconciled year end pack on a timely basis
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
* Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant systems.
* Experience in financial management principles and practices.
* Demonstrable experience in managing accounts payable processes and overall financial reporting.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA are preferred but not essential.
