Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Infrastructure Engineer to join our team based at our Data Centre in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. You will be responsible for the day-to-day proactive management and support of servers, storage, and related technologies that form the foundation for our platforms and customer services. The ideal candidate should be flexible to meet customer needs and committed to providing excellent customer service. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive support and monitoring for Telefónica Tech MS hosted environments.
* Triage and resolve issues raised by customers and internal users.
* Provide second-line support for an RDS environment.
* Deploy and monitor virtual machines on VMware Hypervisor platforms.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience working within ITIL processes and guidelines.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities effectively.
* Experience working in a dedicated IT department.
* Understanding of virtualization and backup technologies.
* Knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy Management.
* Experience with Service Desk software.
* Experience working with Blue Light Services is preferred.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver’s license and access to transportation for site visits.
Required Technical Skills:
* ITIL v3 foundation certification or higher.
* Experience deploying virtual machines with VMware.
* Knowledge of automated patch management tools.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
* Active Directory management skills.
Desired Technical Skills:
* Creating and managing Windows Group Policies.
* Support experience in Windows Terminal Server environments.
* Familiarity with storage and SAN Fibre management.
Additional Information:
* Work hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, on a rolling shift pattern: 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:30, and 14:30-23:00.
* Weekend work (2.5 hours) is required once every three weeks on either Saturday or Sunday.
* Access to personal transport is essential due to location.
* Role requires BPSS, Security Clearance, and NPPV3 clearance, contingent upon passing all security checks.
