We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Birmingham in their search for a skilled Quality Auditor to strengthen their Quality Management System and support ongoing accreditation to ISO9001 and ISO14001.
This role is perfect for someone who loves digging into processes, solving problems pragmatically, and contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
* Conducting internal audits to support compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
* Supporting 3rd-party audits and maintaining accreditation
* Leading and supporting internal and external improvement activities using 8D and PPS methodologies
* Delivering process and product audits with a detail-driven approach
* Facilitating 8D investigations through to completion
* Training operators on quality-related processes and standards
* Managing master samples and ensuring up-to-date control plans
* Supporting first-off approval processes
* Helping drive QHSE KPIs across the site
🧩 What You’ll Bring
* Auditor training in ISO9001 and ISO14001
* Strong understanding of dimensional metrology and small measuring instruments
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data
* Working knowledge of quality core tools: SPC, APQP, PPAP
* Experience in CMM use/programming is beneficial but not essential
* A practical, pragmatic problem-solving style
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across the business
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering or similar quality-focused role
* A full driving licence
