Real Estate Finance Solicitor / Senior Associate – Manchester
A standout opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance lawyer to join a market‑leading Banking & Finance team in Manchester. This role sits within a highly ranked real estate finance team, consistently recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers, and advises lenders and sponsors on complex, large‑scale real‑estate finance transactions across the UK and Europe.
The Role
* Lead real estate finance transactions for lender and sponsor clients
* Advise on logistics, BTR, retail and mixed‑use developments
* Draft and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor agreements and ancillary finance documents
* Manage deal teams including junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals
* Collaborate with colleagues across UK and international offices on cross‑border transactions
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Support business development and client growth initiatives
* Supervise and develop junior team members
The Candidate
* Senior Associate with strong experience in Real Estate Finance or Banking & Finance
* Solid understanding of real estate finance structures and market practice
* Experience acting for lenders, sponsors or both
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills across finance documentation
* Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach
* Confident managing transactions and working with multiple stakeholders
* Strong team player with experience supervising junior lawyers
* Ambitious and motivated to progress within a high‑performing international team
