The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Wedding & Events Manager to join our small, friendly team at our beautiful countryside venue.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone passionate about delivering exceptional weddings and events, from initial enquiry through to flawless on-the-day execution. You will act as the dedicated point of contact for clients throughout their entire journey, ensuring every detail is managed with care, professionalism, and precision.
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with the event schedule.
* You will be responsible for managing weddings, private events, and corporate functions from first enquiry through to delivery, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for every client.
* You will take ownership of your workload, balancing sales, planning, and operational delivery, while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct wedding and event viewings, driving sales and securing bookings.
* Act as the dedicated point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to event delivery.
* Build strong relationships with clients, providing clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the planning process.
Event Planning & Delivery
* Coordinate all aspects of weddings, parties, and corporate events.
* Oversee the smooth setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
* Ensure all events are delivered to a high standard, meeting client expectations and venue standards.
* Coordinate effectively with external suppliers
* Assist with the coordination and organisation of showcases and open days
Team Coordination
* Delegate tasks effectively to event staff during setup and event days.
* Provide clear direction and support to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
Venue Presentation & Standards
* Maintain the overall presentation of the venue, ensuring it is clean, organised, and ready for viewings and events at all times.
* Uphold high standards of appearance across all areas of the venue.
Administration & Systems
* Manage workload effectively, including event planning, documentation, and timelines.
* Use systems such as MS Word and Excel for planning and reporting.
* Assist with administrative tasks and financial processes where required (knowledge of QuickBooks or similar is advantageous).
Marketing Support
* Assist with social media content and updates to promote the venue and upcoming events.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Wedding or Events Coordinator (or similar role).
* Minimum 1 year’s experience in a management or supervisory role.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and client-focused approach.
* High standards of personal presentation.
* Confident working independently and as part of a small team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (computer literate).
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced events environment.
* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
* Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
* First Aid at Work qualification
