The main purpose of the job involves providing effective support for teaching and learning in nursery and overseeing the safety, welfare and good conduct of nursery pupils. This includes promoting and modelling good behaviour, forming positive relationships with pupils and staff. The aim being to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. About you We are looking for a teaching assistant who has: High expectations of all pupils; respect for their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic background and a commitment to their safety, welfare and good conduct Awareness of safeguarding principles and safe working practices. We are looking for a school meals supervisory assistant who will: Work effectively within a team environment Liaise with members of staff to identify pupils who need individual or group work. Build effective working relationships with all pupils and colleagues. Promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes. Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these. Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes and behaviour they expect from the pupils with whom they work. Work collaboratively with colleagues and carry out role effectively, knowing when to seek help and advice. Be committed to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people. Recognise when pupils are in danger of risk or harm and know what actions to take to protect them, in accordance with school procedure.
