Senior Social Worker - Court Team – Buckinghamshire Council

The Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a high-calibre experienced Social Worker to join the Court Team in Children’s Services. You will work in a busy, fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues from multiple teams to ensure effective multi-professional working and to advocate for the voices of children and young people.

At Buckinghamshire Council we have an opportunity for a high calibre experienced Social Worker in our Court team. To succeed, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge from working in a similar environment within a Child Protection or Court team. In these busy teams you’ll be flexible and able to work well under pressure. You will build positive links between your team and other parts of the service to ensure effective multi-professional working.

About The Role

Our supportive Head of Service aims for the Court Team to become a centre of excellence for care proceedings. We are looking for skilled practitioners who know what good practice looks like in evidence gathering and writing, with strong written skills and experience in taking the stand and giving oral evidence. You will join a strong, improving team to tackle future challenges. The role offers diverse and complex work, with excellent training opportunities for the right candidates looking to progress.

In this role you will work directly with children and young people, ensuring the voice of the child is heard and acted upon. You will have manageable caseloads, agile working, access to comprehensive training and reflective supervision, and you will share our dedication to improving the lives of children and young people. About You

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice with children and families and be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England. We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a Court setting and contribute to high-quality evidence and advocacy for children.
