Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a Scheduler to join our team! ABOUT THE ROLE This position is responsible for optimising schedules for both reactive and planned work, allocating tasks based on engineers’ skills and locations to minimise travel and improve efficiency while meeting all statutory and client requirements. All assignments are distributed in accordance with established internal procedures. You will specialise in a core discipline to develop a comprehensive understanding of the engineering teams’ capabilities and to identify where additional resources may be necessary. Acting as the primary point of contact for Linaker engineers, this role requires building and maintaining strong professional relationships. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Utilise the Job Logic system to schedule all PPM labour in advance and within budget, adhering to plans from Operational leads across new, renewed, or cancelled contracts. Check compliance dates with relevant client third-party systems (where required) to ensure they align accurately with the PPM planners in job logic. Organise reactive work efficiently, striving to reduce travel time while ensuring all assignments meet client service level agreements; if feasible, group tasks (PPM and reactive) together without reducing quality of service. Collaborate with the Scheduling Manager to enhance procedures, improve data accuracy, and support PPM and reactive labour allocation. Coordinate closely with the permits team to ensure all necessary permits are secured before engineers attend sites. Prepare monthly reports detailing engineer performance and productivity by discipline, highlighting recall volume. Collaborate with our CRT to progress jobs to completion while ensuring proper evidence is submitted for confirmation. Spot and suggest opportunities for process improvements based on performance metrics and feedback from stakeholders. Participate in client meetings, team sessions, and other gatherings required for your role. Carry out additional responsibilities as and when required WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Proficient in basic written communication and numerical analysis IT literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiar with operational functions and possesses foundational knowledge of service delivery processes Knowledgeable about expectations, deadlines, and targets for both internal and external stakeholders Solid understanding of CAFM systems and helpdesk procedures Demonstrates strong administrative skills and effective teamwork Experienced in collaborating with both external and internal clients Possesses proven problem-solving abilities Well-versed in general engineering principles THE PACKAGE Competitive Starting salary.
