About the Role
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Epsom with a dedicated SEN provision. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with additional needs within both the classroom and specialist settings, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, both in class and within the SEN provision
Work 1:1 and with small groups to support learning, engagement, and progress
Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and lessons to meet individual needs
Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting preferred)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A genuine passion for supporting young people
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
