SEN Specialist Tutor ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Specialist Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 support to young people in Havering who are unable to attend mainstream school. As an SEN Specialist Tutor, your primary responsibility will be to deliver bespoke, high-quality lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs (SEN). You'll work closely with each student to create and implement personalised learning plans, designed to help bridge gaps in their education, boost their confidence, and increase engagement with their studies. This role is ideal for experienced tutors or educators who have a passion for supporting students with additional learning needs. This role allows you to step away from traditional classroom settings and provide a more tailored, nurturing approach to education. Given that many of the students will have been out of education for a period of time, some may face challenges with engagement or self-esteem. Your role will be pivotal in rebuilding their confidence, offering structure, and reigniting a love for learning.
