The purpose of this role is to provide an effective Healthcare Records service for Broomfield Hospital in accordance with agreed policies and procedures with direct or indirect supervision of the Health Records Team Leader. The Health Records Centre covers a variety of functions and the aim of the department is to ensure that Health Records folders are promptly available for all ongoing patient care.
Responsibilities
* Work as an active member of the Health Records team in providing efficient support to the health records service for the trust.
* Ensure Healthcare Records are available and prepared for outpatient clinics and all inpatients, and that other ad‑hoc requests are made available to the requester within agreed timescales and deadlines, both clinical and non‑clinical.
* Have an understanding of the consequences when records are not available and be able to deal with occasional exposure to stressful situations.
