This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to gain an excellent industry qualification while receiving practical on-the-job training on our fleet of diesel and electrical pumps.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. You will work on targets related to your Apprenticeship and performance objectives, as agreed with your company-appointed Mentor, and attend all college, training sessions, assessments, and progress reviews.
2. You will demonstrate active involvement and interest in the design, build, assembly, and installation functions to develop a comprehensive understanding of company operations, systems, products, and equipment.
3. You will show progress in learning from the repair centre team and complete all assigned duties to an agreed standard.
4. You will work towards effectively undertaking service and maintenance tasks as directed by an experienced mentor.
5. You will continue developing your knowledge of electrics, hydraulics, engines, and systems with the support of a dedicated mentor.
6. You will assist with repairs of equipment and electrical faults by accurately identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
* GCSE or equivalent in English Language (Grade 4)
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths (Grade 4)
* Learning agility – ability to learn from experience and apply it in new ways, adapting to new circumstances and opportunities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to meet stakeholder needs and work well in a team.
* Understanding and respect for safety procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others.
* Willingness to do overtime if required, with a keen interest in mechanical maintenance.
* Proficiency in reading technical manuals and electrical drawings.
* Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and apply problem-solving skills.
