RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
People & Culture
To manage the care and growth of a team in accordance with Company procedures, with reference to time, performance, behaviours and quality.
Care – Trust, Sincerity, Respect and Personal Interest in the team and their views or concerns.
Growth – Coaching, development, training and experience etc. Ensuring appropriate skills mix is maintained to deliver current and future projects.
Ensure the team are supplied with the means, ability, and accountability to carry out the tasks allocated to them. (within the Company constraints).
Means – Time, Information, Authority, Tools, Standards and an understanding of the context of their work.
Ability – Competence levels, Training, Coaching and ongoing Growth opportunities
Accountability- Use of Company applications, process and policy in order to hold the team appropriately accountable, both positively and negatively. (performance management, absence management etc.)
Motivate, engage and communicate regularly with individuals and the team to explain the “why”, achieve desired behaviours and ensure that all are aligned to the team objectives and aware of progress.
Promote and encourage a culture of event reporting for all identified issues in relation to Safety, Continuous Improvement and Learning from Experience (LFE)
Health & Safety
Follow all the control of work processes to manage all aspects of Health & Safety as part of your daily business by the use of Leadership and including but not limited to:

* Safety Walk rounds

* Safety discussion and initiatives involving your team
Follow all the control of work processes to ensure safety and compliance.
* COSHH
* Manual Handling
* Hot Work
* Confined Space
* Risk Assessments (brief and record)
Ensure the work place is at all times safe and meets appropriate health, safety and environment standards.
Understand the tasks required including risk and control measures.
Release production activities, restrict or suspend any activity including contractors and cease any activity if you consider safety is being compromised.
Technical/Operations
* Provide technical guidance in relation to your area of expertise.
* Take ownership and deliver their project objectives to schedule and quality in accordance with Company Processes and Procedures.
* Identify key risks and issues and, where appropriate take mitigating action; where mitigation is not possible, ensure effective capture through recognised Company reporting routes
* Ensure timely and effective closure of owned actions ensuring, standards/quality and where appropriate, that corrective action taken prevents further recurrence of identified issue.
* Ensure you provide accurate time recording and bookings against the project activities undertaken by your team and take responsibility to raise and correct any issues arising.
* The supervisor is responsible for the correct and safe use of tooling and equipment.
Paint Inspection
* ICATS / Train the Painter (preferred)
* Preparation and painting specifications
* Hand and mechanical preparation techniques
* Painting techniques
* Coating repair systems
* Blasting/ Spraying experience an advantage
Qualifications
* Demonstrates competency in line with Company ethos
* Nace Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred
* Adequate Trade knowledge
* ILM 3 or prepared to work towards
* CSWIP 3.1
* Demonstrates Leadership qualities in line Company ethos
* IOSH
