The Opportunity
Seeking a proactive, forward-thinking Development Manager with at least 5 years' relevant experience. This high-profile role offers visibility across the business and is suited for energetic, personable individuals who are not afraid to get involved.
You will work on multiple projects, so excellent workload, time management, and communication skills are essential. This is a newly created role, with responsibilities including ad hoc tasks and projects. Flexibility and enthusiasm for stepping outside comfort zones are desired.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Development
* Support production of project briefs and review detailed building design and project documentation.
* Ensure stakeholder consultation and consensus on project issues, communicating outcomes to teams.
* Facilitate report production and presentation for stakeholder and Board approval.
Project Delivery
* Assist in creating value through design, planning, procurement, and construction.
* Review scheme concepts and design development for value and standards.
* Comment on financial viability and liaise to improve profitability.
* Facilitate stakeholder consultations and secure planning consent.
* Support project issues including planning, construction, and third-party interests.
* Manage project teams and consultants.
* Track costs and schedules, ensuring invoicing aligns with work completed.
* Incorporate sustainability into design and delivery.
* Provide project and construction management to meet objectives.
Sustainability & Public Realm
* Facilitate rollout of sustainability plans.
* Assist with energy audits and CAPEX projects.
* Potential involvement in public realm design and delivery.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
* 5+ years post RICS, ARB, or equivalent registration.
* Experience in projects from inception to handover.
* Understanding of project management, tracking, and reporting.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Commercial focus with value-generation ability.
