One of my local government clients is currently recruiting an experienced Caretaker on a temporary basis. This role is a minimum 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 06:45 am to 10:15 am and 2:45 pm to 6:45 pm.
Overview:
* The duties include providing a professional cleaning and caretaking service at the school, ensuring the establishment is opened and closed at designated times, in the approved conditions for occupancy, and carrying out daily cleaning duties.
General Duties:
* Receiving and checking all goods and supplies (excluding contractor goods) for the school and distributing them as necessary.
* Reporting any defects affecting health and safety to the Headteacher, and, when possible, making safe and isolating hazards. (Internal only)
* Carrying out handyperson duties for the entire site, such as (examples categorized below). (Internal only)
