Scope
Akkodis is hiring a Technical Project Manager to support a portfolio of engineering programmes within a central project office.
The role will involve working across active development programmes, legacy programme close-out activities and continuous improvement initiatives, depending on business priorities.
Role
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of defined Work Packages against agreed Quality, Cost and Schedule targets.
As part of the Integrated Project Team, the role will focus on coordinating day-to-day technical project activities, ensuring structured execution and maintaining alignment between engineering, programme and business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Own assigned Work Packages and ensure delivery against QCD objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities within a matrix environment
• Develop and maintain project structures including WBS, PBS, OBS, RBS and CBS
• Support the creation and maintenance of project development plans
• Manage project schedules from master schedules through to detailed Work Package plans
• Track project progress, actions and deliverables using project management tools
• Identify and manage risks, opportunities and mitigation plans
• Support cost estimation, budget control and milestone tracking
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the project management function
Required Experience
• Project management experience within an engineering or technical environment
• Track record of delivering projects against Quality, Cost and Schedule objectives
• Experience working within structured project frameworks and stage-gate lifecycles
• Background managing Work Packages and coordinating cross-functional teams
• Experience in risk and opportunity management
• Practical experience with cost estimation and budget control
• Familiarity with multi-level project scheduling
Required Skills
• Strong project planning, scheduling and organisational skills
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
• Ability to manage complex project data and documentation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good understanding of engineering development processes
• Problem-solving approach with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement
Education
A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a closely related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
