Baltic Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Permanent Account Director (All Levels: Junior to Senior). This role is hybrid, with regional travel as required. Our client recognizes that successful sales professionals develop at different stages and has designed their Account Director pathway accordingly. The pathway includes three levels: Junior Account Director, Account Director, and Senior Account Director, each offering opportunities for growth in strategic B2B sales, client portfolio management, and leading complex partnerships.
The role involves building relationships, acquiring new clients, and driving account growth through high-quality apprenticeship and skills solutions. As you progress, you'll gain greater autonomy, responsibility, and market influence.
Key Responsibilities & Role Expectations
1. Junior Account Director: Develop strategic sales skills, grow client relationships, generate leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking, manage accounts, identify upsell opportunities, contribute to proposals, deliver excellent customer experiences, and build sector presence through networking events.
2. Account Director: Manage a portfolio, deliver results, own accounts, drive new business, develop acquisition strategies, manage pipelines, create proposals, support tenders, collaborate with internal teams, and attend sector events.
3. Senior Account Director: Act as strategic leader and trusted advisor to high-value clients, shape sector presence, target apprenticeship starts, lead complex client relationships, design go-to-market strategies, lead tenders, utilize market data, represent the brand at industry events, and influence internal teams.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Proven success in strategic account management within apprenticeships, training, or related B2B services
* Consultative sales approach, experience with tenders and procurement frameworks
* Ability to approve apprenticeship vacancies, maintain high learner retention, and enforce standards
* Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen
* Self-motivated, resilient, and engaging ambassador

Salary ranges from £46,000 to £65,000, with OTE of £68,000 to £92,000, depending on experience. The role is based in County Durham/Darlington and is a permanent position in the sales sector.
