Joiner - Social Housing Maintenance Location: Darlington Rate: £18 per hour (CIS Available) Contract: Long-term Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm Benefits: Company van provided (work use only) We are currently recruiting an experienced Joiner to work on behalf of the council in the Darlington area. This is a long-term opportunity within a busy responsive repairs environment, carrying out high-quality 2nd fix maintenance in domestic properties. Role Responsibilities: Carrying out reactive maintenance repairs in occupied homes Completing all aspects of 2nd fix joinery, including: Hanging and adjusting doors Replacing skirting boards and architraves Laying flooring Boxing in pipework Other associated joinery maintenance tasks Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with council requirements Delivering a professional and customer-focused service to tenants What's on Offer: £18 per hour Long-term, stable work Company van provided for work purposes Consistent Monday-Friday working hours Opportunity to work on a well-established council contract What We're Looking For: City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Carpentry or Joinery Previous experience working within social housing or council maintenance Ability to work independently in a fast-paced responsive repairs environment Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship If you're an experienced Joiner looking for a secure role with consistent hours and long-term work, we'd love to hear from you.
