What you'll be doing;
Lead the team to deliver a smooth and safe shift on the ERF. To organise resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to best effect prioritising the wellbeing of our people and efficiency of the plant.
Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of a modern Energy Recovery Facility, maximising performance whilst maintaining all environmental standards.
Acting as the "Senior Authorised Person" on shift and managing the activities of the operational shift and energy recovery facility operatives.
Managing the activities of the plant and operatives when in the position of Day Shift Team Leader and when on shift outside normal working hours.
Assist with VMR auditing, reporting and training
Outage Preparation
Liaising with a number of external contractors and acting as the 'face' of Veolia.
What we're looking for;
Essential
Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (relevant to the waste industry or power industry) or equivalent experience
Boiler operation and maintenance with burner combustions experience
Desirable
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent is desirable
NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely
