Job overview
The Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) is a highly skilled clinician and manager responsible for leading the ACP workforce across the Calderdale, Huddersfield and Mid Yorkshire Non-Surgical Oncology Partnership. Ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. The post-holder will oversee the operational management of the ACP team, ensuring appropriate workforce planning, governance, and financial control to optimise service delivery.
The post-holder will drive service improvement, workforce development, and clinical excellence in line with national guidelines and NHS strategic objectives and local partnership strategic objectives across the Partnership. The Lead ACP will be based across both trusts, providing strong, visible leadership to ensure a high standard of advanced practice and professional governance across the organisations.
The Lead ACP will work across professional and organisational boundaries, supporting the integration of services, enhancing patient outcomes, and contributing to clinical governance, education, and research.
The postholder is expected to lead consensus-building discussions, drawing on a high level of specialist knowledge, clinical evidence, and national guidance to make decisions that support safe, effective care while balancing organisational objectives and professional standards.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
 * Registered Nurse or AHP
 * MSc Advanced Practice
 * Evidence of continued professional development
 * Recognised teaching qualification
 * Leadership/Management Qualification (e.g ILM Level 5, CMI,MSc) or willingness to undertake
 * Non-medical radiology referral competence
 * GCP Research Certificate
 * PhD or working towards
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
 * Demonstrable current experience and level of working mapped to consultant level of practice for ACCEND/RCN
 * Significant Post registration experience in senior ACP Role
 * Experience of managing and leading a multidisciplinary team
 * Proven experience of service development, quality improvement
 * Experience of Budget management, cost improvement and resource allocation
 * Demonstrable ability to influence change and manage complex projects
 * Operational management experience within Oncology service
 * Awareness of own limitations
 * Understand the national specialty and professional agenda
