JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for maximising the company's profitability and business development within the Northern England and Scotland area, in line with the overall budget and the sales targets set and agreed.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identifying new business opportunities, within the region to explore further with the line manager.
* To promote the company's service, product range and image.
* Establish and build healthy relationships with customers (Independent Tile Showrooms, Regional Distributors, Wholesalers & Merchants), suppliers, hauliers, and colleagues.
* As part of the team, to look for new Product opportunities that we can bring to market before others and be ahead of the game.
* Responsible for managing the budget for the North England and Scotland area, in line with approved targets.
* Managing key relationships with stake holders / managers and their sales teams, to promote and maximise additional revenue opportunities.
* Setting the area strategy with line manager for the area.
* Maintain awareness of competitor activity within the area and any potential impact this may have.
* To prepare quotations and negotiate for orders on live enquiries (in consultation with your line Manager).
* Maintain a daily proactive call record, as well as an enquiry log.
* Any other additional tasks as may be required by the: internal procurement & sales team or external sales representative or line manager.
* Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
* Must live in North England area and be happy to work on the road (Essential).
* External Sales / Field Sales Experience (Essential).
* Broad product range knowledge - Internal Tiles, External tiles and Paving, Natural Stone, Building materials, Commercial hard landscaping etc. (Desirable).
