An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Setter with some programming ability to join the team of a well-established Telford based company. They are seeking a highly motivated individual from CNC machining industry, to set and operate their machines, understand drawings, load and make or adjust programs, carryout changeovers and measure first offs. Competitive pay rates available and good working hours.
Hours:
Days shift Monday – Friday (early finish Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience on operation and setting of 3 axis milling CNC Machines
• Fanuc and/or Siemens Programming / CNC Setting background
• Capable of using measuring equipment
• The ability to understand and modify, if required, programs on milling machining centers.
• A good knowledge of cutting data to machine aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, brass.
Skills / Competencies
• Strong knowledge of machinery within a machine shop, experience of manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances on CNC machines, lathes and millers.
• Experience of either turning or milling
• Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Siemens controls and Mazak machines is advantageous
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
Candidates who have current or recent experience working similar roles to the following will be of interest: CNC Milling, CNC Machining Centers, CNC Lathe, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer, Conventional Machinist or CNC Machinist
Education and experience:
• CNC setting experience on Fanuc and/or Siemens controls advantageous
• Mazak experience advantageous
• Any related qualifications in manufacturing or engineering advantageous
