We are seeking a proactive Lab Operations Manager with a cell therapy background.

The Opportunity
Join a cutting-edge immunotherapy research lab working at the forefront of cell-based treatments. This hands-on, high-impact role ensures the smooth, safe, and compliant running of laboratory operations in a fast-paced biotech setting.
You will oversee equipment, consumables, safety practices, and compliance, enabling scientists to focus on developing life-changing therapies.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
* Act as the primary contact for lab health and safety operations.
* Maintain risk assessments, COSHH records, and biosafety documentation.
Lab Operations
* Manage daily lab logistics: inventory, consumables, maintenance.
* Oversee equipment calibration, servicing, and troubleshooting.
* Handle biological, chemical, and clinical waste disposal according to regulations.
* Coordinate with external suppliers, service engineers, and contractors.
* Arrange access for maintenance, installation, and emergency works.
Documentation & Compliance
* Draft and update SOPs, lab manuals, and safety documentation.
* Support audit readiness and uphold GMP/GxP standards.
About You
* Experience in a biotech, immunotherapy, or life sciences lab environment.
* Knowledge of biosafety protocols and UK lab legislation.
* Experience managing equipment, inventory, and contractor relationships.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* BSc or equivalent in a life science or related field.
* Familiarity with GMP/GxP practices.
* Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH (preferred).
* Experience with digital lab systems (LIMS, ELNs, inventory software).
