Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Care Supervisor to support and supervise our care staff across the community(Domiciliary Care). You will ensure care is delivered safely and effectively, oversee care plans, conduct spot checks, and provide hands-on support when required. This role is dynamic and varied, with responsibility for rota cover and on-call support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise, mentor, and support care staff in the field, ensuring high standards of care.
* Conduct spot checks, observations, and quality monitoring visits.
* Undertake initial and ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and update care plans.
* Provide induction, shadowing, supervision, and performance reviews for care staff.
* Maintain accurate records of visits, supervisions, and service user interactions.
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
* Act as a first point of contact for staff and service users, providing guidance and resolving issues.
* Assist with rota management and cover care calls/shifts when required.
* Provide on-call support outside normal office hours for urgent matters or emergencies.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
* Previous experience in domiciliary care, with knowledge of care planning and safeguarding.
* Experience supervising or leading care staff.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and undertake on-call duties.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering staff training or mentoring.
* Knowledge of CQC inspections and quality monitoring.
