GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Lunchtime Supervisors to work in schools across Gateshead.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in supervising students, promoting positive behaviour, and helping maintain a welcoming school atmosphere. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and ensuring a safe and structured environment during lunch periods.
Responsibilities of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Supervise students during lunch breaks, both indoors and outdoors
* Promote positive behaviour and ensure student safety at all times
* Encourage positive social interaction and inclusion among students
* Assist students where required during lunchtime activities
* Monitor dining areas, playgrounds, and school premises
* Report incidents, accidents, or concerns to appropriate staff
* Support safeguarding and school behaviour policies
* Maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive environment
Requirements of a Lunchtime Supervisor:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable
* A friendly, patient, and approachable manner
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage behaviour in a calm and positive way
* Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
