Job Summary
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician who can dispense medication and who is ACT qualified. The role involves working alongside a team of 8 pharmacy technicians within the healthcare department at Heathrow IRC, an Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC is the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.
Hours
This is a permanent full‑time role.
* Monday - Sunday service
* 37.5 hours per week
* 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM / 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
* Rotas are published 4 weeks in advance
Salary
£37,296 to £45,331 per annum, depending on experience.
Main Duties
* Provide outstanding quality, patient‑centred care to patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined by our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.

Legal & Vetting
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent.
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience.
* General GCSE education or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
Desirable
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
