The Role

We are recruiting an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leeds from September. You will be working in a SEND provision supporting a cohort of SEND pupils. Due to the needs of each child, you will need to be comfortable with personal care and managing challenging behaviour, working both independently and as part of a team to meet the children's needs. This role is likely to become permanent for the right candidate.
Our Desired Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young adults with autism and/or other additional needs (education, care, youth work, or similar)
* A resilient and resourceful attitude
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and awareness of severe and complex needs
* An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to undergo this check with The Edwin Group
