The Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including:
1. Severe or profound learning difficulties
2. Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
3. Physical or sensory challenges
Every pupil is unique, and you’ll help them access a broad, balanced, and individualised curriculum that supports both learning and life skills.
What You’ll Do:
4. Prepare and support engaging classroom and outdoor learning activities
5. Promote independence and inclusion in all areas of school life
6. Provide physical and emotional care, tailored to each pupil’s needs
7. Be a key part of a nurturing, supportive, and collaborative team
What We’re Looking For:
8. GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
9. A flexible, proactive, and caring attitude
10. Confidence working across varied classroom settings, indoors and outdoors
11. A genuine passion for helping young people thrive
12. A driving license is essential for this position
Experience is welcome, but a positive mindset and willingness to learn are just as important. Full training will be provided.
