This role is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in the backbone of a leading UK manufacturer, helping secure the raw materials that keep innovation moving.
Within the role of Buyer, key responsibilities will be to: -
Source and purchase a diverse range of chemicals and raw materials
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
Build and manage strong supplier relationships
Ensure continuity of supply to meet production deadlines
Monitor market trends and proactively manage risks and opportunities
Work closely with operations and technical teams to align on material needs
Maintain strict compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standardsYou will have: -
Proven experience purchasing chemicals or raw materials
Strong negotiation and contract management expertise
Sound understanding of global and local supply chains
Confident in using procurement platforms and systems
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience in the chemical manufacturing sector is a significant advantageOn offer: -
