Overview
The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.
The BIM Modeller plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the production and coordination of high-quality 3D CAD models with embedded data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan. You will be based in London and will be required to be in our office at Elephant and Castle 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards.
* Implement best practice and consistent processes across the project, liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied.
* Maintain quality processes and quality standards of all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion processes.
* Utilise Bentley ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer, and MicroStation for detailed 3D CAD model creation and documentation, ensuring models are fully coordinated and using clash avoidance tools embedded within the digital twin used on the project.
* Liaise with discipline BIM leads to ensure optimized clash results using suppression rules based on modelling methods.
* Support the production of high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models.
* Produce model geometry and information in line with the Component Catalogue and BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
* Ensure all models submitted meet project requirements, with systems in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits and clash detection before submission.
* Support and liaise with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager and wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to project standards and to facilitate issue resolution.
* Assist in the maintenance of the project's ProjectWise Common Data Environment, ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data management standards.
* Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and detail meet the employer's information requirements.
* Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status.
* Work closely with other disciplines to ensure 3D CAD models are integrated and coordinated, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary.
* Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM-related issues.
Qualifications
* Bentley iTwin Design Review
* Bentley ProjectWise
* Bentley OpenBuilding Designer
* Bentley MicroStation
* BIM Modeller with at least 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects
* Experience of working in an engineering production environment
* A railway, transportation or construction background is ideal
* Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including BS1192 and ISO 19650
