We manufacture switchgear and related products for installation in mission-critical and commercial buildings worldwide, ranging from data centres to the headquarters of major corporations.
To support our teams, we’re looking to add a Finance Director to our team in Blackburn, UK.
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Finance Director will ensure accurate accounting activities and effective financial operations for our global critical power business.
What a typical day looks like:
* Manage the commercial finance function including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Oversee financial forecasting efforts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals, supporting decision-making.
* Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership review.
* Present financial performance and strategic insights clearly and concisely.
* Collaborate with sales, procurement, and other departments on pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and margins.
* Develop and establish financial reporting requirements.
* Support external auditors during examinations of financial statements.
* Ensure monthly account analysis and reconciliations are performed.
* Coach and mentor financial professionals.
* Stay updated on industry trends and apply relevant insights.
* Benchmark current systems and controls, enhancing system integrity and company value.
* Identify financial risks and opportunities, developing action plans accordingly.
Required experience:
* Relevant BSc/MSc degree and professional credentials (CPA, CFP, CMA, CA, or similar).
* Over 10 years of finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
* Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
* Advanced skills in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Understanding of US GAAP and international finance standards.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Proficiency in Excel and extensive financial analysis experience.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
