Due to a pending retirement, CPI (part of the Howden Group) is recruiting for an Inside Sales Engineer to join our site based in Hungerford. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be responsible for supporting our Area Sales Managers, agents, and customers, as well as liaising with the workshop on product delivery. You will need to process orders efficiently, prepare technical and commercial proposals, produce reliable quotations, and handle other general administrative tasks.

Today, CPI has expanded to include capabilities such as revamps and modernization of entire compressor packages, leveraging our OEM expertise within Howden.
What you will do
* Process orders efficiently, prepare technical and commercial proposals, produce reliable quotations, and handle other general administrative work.
* Follow up on outstanding quotations to meet order targets and forecasting requirements.
* Support our Area Sales Managers and customers, liaising with the workshop on product delivery.
* Apply a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of your role.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve workflow processes where possible.
What do you bring?
The ideal candidate will likely have the following profile:
* A technical qualification, e.g., ONC in Mechanical Engineering, or A Levels in maths/science.
* Excellent communication skills and IT literacy.
* Ability to take ownership of tasks and demonstrate initiative.
* Self-motivated and willing to learn.
* A team player.
* Experience in manufacturing and engineering is desirable but not essential.
