Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at EDEN Children's Care. This role involves assisting individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This Children's home will operate a 2 on 4 off rota and hold 2-3 placements that we will support with day to day living.
Responsibilities
* To provide the highest quality of care and support as part of the care team to in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and standards set by the Regulatory Body
* Supporting, mentoring and educating our children in day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
* Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
* Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development
* Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development
* Managing complex and challenging behaviour
* Support with engagement in activities
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children is essential; childcare qualifications are desirable
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and families
* Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in your care
