The role and the individuals you will be supporting
Based in Ardrossan, Castlecraigs is an energetic, fast-paced Housing Support service which is home to 13 individuals with complex support needs. We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.
As a Support Practitioner, you will provide personalised, flexible support based upon the assessed needs of each individual. With a focus on reducing social isolation, maintaining and promoting independence, you will enable the people we support to live as independently as possible and to play an active role within their local communities. This role will also include supporting with hobbies, meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ Level (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too
What we need you to bring: -
A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
The ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative
Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Great communication skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Confidence in the use of computers
A full driving licence with a minimum of 1 years' experience on the roads
Shift Pattern
We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which include mornings, afternoons, evenings, waking nights, weekends and public holidays and on a rotational basis.
