Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Controller to take ownership of the Accounts Payable function. You’ll be part of a supportive finance team, helping keep the business running smoothly. If you enjoy keeping things accurate, resolving queries quickly, and being the go-to person for suppliers, this role could be perfect for you.

What You’ll Bring
At least 2 years’ experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
Experience using SAGE (highly desirable)
Ideally, a graduate or currently studying AAT
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator who can liaise with suppliers and internal teams
Ability to work to tight month-end deadlines
The Role
Processing accounts payable invoices for stock and non-stock items
Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
Resolving invoice discrepancies with Purchasing and suppliers
Monitoring invoices pending approval and managing queries
Completing month-end statement checks for the top 30–40 suppliers
Organising and processing periodic and monthly payment runs (SAGE & bank)
Handling employee expenses and payments
Managing credit card entries and reporting
Reconciling and controlling petty cash
