Eden Scott is working in partnership with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Manager – Consumer Duty in Financial Services on a 12‑month fixed term contract.
This is a high‑profile role with Group‑wide visibility, offering the opportunity to play a key part in strengthening Consumer Duty delivery, customer outcomes governance, and regulatory assurance across the UK business.
Sitting within a central Consumer Duty / Outcomes function, this role will focus on ensuring robust governance, oversight, and assurance of customer outcomes in line with FCA Consumer Duty requirements.
As a Manager, you will provide subject‑matter expertise, challenge, and leadership across outcomes monitoring frameworks, governance standards, and regulatory interpretation, supporting senior stakeholders with clear, defensible insight.
This contract is well suited to an experienced Consumer Duty or regulatory professional looking to make immediate impact in a senior governance role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior oversight of Consumer Duty governance, ensuring alignment with FCA expectations and internal policy
* Lead and enhance customer outcomes governance frameworks, standards, and reporting
* Act as a subject matter expert on Consumer Duty interpretation, material judgements, and regulatory expectations
* Support and challenge first‑line activity through effective governance and assurance
* Review and approve key outcomes‑related judgements, escalating material risks or potential customer harm were identified
* Present insights, risks, and regulatory positions to senior governance forums and committees
* Support audit, compliance, and regulatory engagement with clear and well‑evidenced rationale
Person Specification
* Strong working knowledge of FCA Consumer Duty and expectations of good outcomes and governance
* Experience in governance, oversight, assurance, or framework ownership within a regulated environment
* Confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders with credibility
* A strong customer‑centric mindset and commitment to doing the right thing
* Experience supporting audit, risk, compliance, or regulatory review activity
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory issues clearly
* 1‑year fixed‑term opportunity in a senior, visible Consumer Duty role
* Meaningful regulatory impact with exposure to senior leadership and governance forums
