An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant from September! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Enfield to find a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Year 4. As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children stay engaged, focused and supporting their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
* Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
* Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.
Requirements of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working as a KS2 Teaching Assistant is essential.
* Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
* Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential
* SEND experience is desirable.
