Job Description:
The role
Will be challenging but rewarding, working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference. You will be expected to lead the teaching of and coordinate flexible, person-centred programmes of study for individuals and groups of pupils. You should demonstrate a practical, hands-on approach to teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the pupils we support.
Following a thorough induction programme, your duties will include:
1. Work under the guidance of the Deputy Principal and class teacher in planning and implementing work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils with special needs.
2. Provide general support to the class teacher in managing and organizing pupils with special needs in the classroom.
3. Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
4. Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
5. Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils within the school.
Key Skills Required
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Experience working with relevant age groups within a learning environment.
* Experience working with students with additional needs.
* Experience of general clerical/administrative work.
* Training in relevant strategies in curriculum or learning area.
