This is a permanent, full time position. The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Thursday 08.00-16.00/30 Friday 0800-1530/30 *Alternative Fridays 0800-16.00/30. As part of Prison Health Care Services Management Team, the post holder will manage administrative services as they relate to the delivery of health care within HMP Low Moss .The post holder will contribute to ensuring a safe environment for prisoners and staff who access and work within the prison health centres, and will lead on the overall delivery, development and evaluation of administrative systems and processes at HMP Low Moss. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the development and provision of the administrative services in HMP Low Moss. They will facilitate the delivery of effective patient care by implementing NHS systems and audit/monitor work of the administration team locally. The post holder will also support the Operational Manager and to support the work of the Prison Health Care Business Support Manager/ Administrator Business Support Officer for HMP Low Moss, HMP Greenock and HMP Barlinnie. The post holder may also be required to travel to the other establishments to provide support to the administration teams. The post holder will maintain effective support to all staff, management and clinicians within HMP Low Moss. The role includes ensuring the production of a rotas, setting objectives and training via KSF and PDP for the effective delivery of administration support in HMP Low Moss. The post holder will provide leadership, management and advice to all administration staff working in the prison health care. The key qualifications for this post are a degree level education, or HNC in Business Administration and/Information Technology, or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating an ability to operate at that level. Experience in the management/supervision of staff within a large multi-function service. Knowledge of General Practice Administration.
