Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: Caerphilly, South WalesSalary: £24,570 £25,935 per yearHours: Full-time We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive, nurturing educational environment, helping learners thrive in a small, focused special school setting in Caerphilly. The school provides high-quality learning experiences for secondary-aged children with IDP/ALN Statements, ADHD, and/or challenging behaviours. Class sizes are small, typically with a staff-to-student ratio of 2:4, fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities
* Mentor, support, and inspire learners through classroom learning, home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities.
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials and support lesson delivery, with a strong focus on behaviour management.
* Record daily progress and identify barriers to learning.
* Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers.
Requirements
* Passion for supporting students with SEND.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a SEND or similar educational setting.
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential.
