Additionally, depending on workloads, continuing as a Senior Installation Engineer may be required. Must have experience in Security Systems, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of a team and, as a group, will perform the duties of installing Security Systems at the customer’s premises. Generally, this role is to project manager and install any smaller orders the company receives through service or installation Departments. The role requires great initiative, autonomy, and client liaison. Flexibility is essential in adapting to future changes within the company and fluctuations in the workload. The role may include the supervision of other engineers, Subcontractors or Junior Engineers and will be expected to actively manage, train, and guide these persons. Must have experience in Security Systems, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Project Engineer Responsibilities These duties will be based upon all or part of the following: After a project review, the Projects Manager (PM) will allocate new projects to the PE. The PE will then be responsible for the project's planning, scheduling, installation, and handover. Upon receipt of a new job file, the PE will review the project to ensure they are fully conversant with the contract conditions. The PE will also ensure that the equipment specified constitutes a working and suitable system in liaison with the Salesman and the Customer. If you need to, we will resolve any questions at this stage. I'll make sure to note any predetermined program of work and delivery schedule. Any changes will proactively be notified to the customer and the Salesman. The PE will be responsible for monitoring the profitability of all projects under their control. The PE will monitor the progress of their work at all times and advise the PM of any changes through regular 'Project Reviews’. It will be the responsibility of the PE to ensure that the customer and any other interested parties are kept up to date with the progress of the project. Where the PE experiences difficulty in fulfilling their duties or finds the program of works not on schedule, particularly where 'Liquidated Damages' may be incurred, the PM will be told immediately. The PE will provide or organize any relevant customer training and ensure that commissioning and completion certificates are signed and provided. The PE will ensure that all applicable documentation is provided in a suitable format at the time of handover to the client. If you give adequate notice, the Service Manager must be informed of any pending project completions to allow a handover or attendance if necessary. The PE will liaise with the Service Manager to accommodate the requirements in performing remedial or new installation works generated within the Service Department.
