Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.
* Provide feedback to teachers on class progress and any issues that arise.
* Cover a variety of subjects – no planning or marking required.
* Gain hands-on experience working in a busy school environment.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
* Are considering a PGCE, School Direct, or other teacher training route.
* Have strong communication and leadership skills as a Cover Supervisor.
* Are confident, adaptable, and able to manage classroom behaviour.
* Have some experience working with young people (e.g., in school, coaching, tutoring, mentoring – desirable but not essential).
* Are proactive, professional, and reliable.
