Environment, Health and Safety Manager
Aureos are recruiting for an experienced HSQE Manager to work on a renewable project in Norfolk.
Please note that applicants must have an environmental qualification such as NEBOSH Environmental or IEMA. Experience should include heavy civils, steel erection, cladding etc.
Responsibilities
* Provide competent health, safety, quality (assurance) and site environmental advice.
* Ensure inspections and guidance for site staff and management team are carried out; challenge where required and not walk by.
* Promote safe equipment, standards and methods of working.
* Manage and mentor staff under their control, developing areas where the team can improve their skills.
* Lead by example and demonstrate the behaviours expected on site.
* Stop unsafe works, agree and document suitable and safe solutions, and re-brief as needed.
* Manage and mentor HSQE Advisors.
* Produce HSQE specific KPI information.
* Attend and participate in internal/external meetings, forums and working groups to promote business activities.
* Assist operational team with reviewing CDM documentation.
* Assure process and working methods; monitor effectiveness of the business management system.
* Develop, maintain and promote a positive HSQE culture.
* Ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
* Conduct task analyses of risk assessments, method statements and briefings.
* Provide support and advice for staff to promote sustainable practices.
* Close all requirements and findings within the required timescales.
* Share lessons with the wider team and manage resources cost-effectively.
* Raise issues or positives to the appropriate level as necessary.
* Provide the required level and quality of HSE advice.
